NURC, in partnership with Cathode Corner and Firewheel STEM Institute, has developed an ROV kit designed to help new teams get in the water and competing as quickly as possible.
Created with beginners in mind, the kit provides a solid foundation for teams with little to no underwater robotics experience, allowing them to focus on learning, problem-solving, and preparing for competition rather than starting from scratch.​
Pictured below is the Kit Bot v1, the Cadet. The Cadet provides everything needed to begin learning the fundamentals of underwater robotics and compete at NURC. As your team grows, optional upgrades, including a lateral thruster for enhanced maneuverability and a robotic grabber for mission tasks, can be added to expand the ROV's capabilities.
Coming Soon: Kit Bot Version 2
We're hard at work redesigning our beginner ROV kit to make it even more capable, easier to build, and better suited for new teams. Kit Bot v2 is currently in development, and we'll be sharing more details - including features, pricing, and availability - in the coming months.
